Automatic tensioning

König snow chains featuring the Automatic Tensioning allow the full installation in just one car stop. The chain autonomously tensions and centers while driving.

Traditional fitting

The ground-up fitting system is based on the flexible cable sliding on the ground behind the wheel, allowing all the chain parts get connected without moving the vehicle.

Intuitive fitting

The Intuitive fitting system is based on memory of shape components allowing the stretch under load while returning to the original shape just after. Thanks to this mechanical property, the chain can easily be mounted on the wheel without the typical link-to-hook connections.

External fitting

The principle of the external fitting system is based on the fixation of the snow chain to the wheel bolt through a specific adapter clamp and the subsequent positioning of the chain close enough to the rim profile, allowing the chain to autonomously slide into position while driving. No inner connections and no chain elements behind the wheel which might interfere with the vehicle wheelhouse components.

Comfortable: you stop once and that’s it

König ATC stays for “Active Tensioning and Centering” and it allows the autonomous chain tensioning and centering while driving, avoiding any additional car stop for manual re-tensioning or any adjustments.

König Reflex Box

The König Reflex Box is the automatic tensioning powerhouse available on the König Reflex snow chains. In terms of functioning, the Reflex Box tensioning mechanism gets activated through a simple click on the red trigger activating the inner spring recalling the red micro-cable onto the inner drum. Thanks to this unique communicating system, the Reflex Box can tension the entire snow chain in all its parts with a simple click.

Central body with integrated ratchet

The product design is based on a central body the arms and the fixing system are linked to. The central body features an integrated ratchet with a 9x factor, meaning that it make the tensioning operations completely effortless.

K-Lock torque indicator tool

The K-Summit products come with a specific torque indicator tool which clicks when the proper torquing level is reached during the fastening of the adapter on the wheel bolt or nut.

Tensioning elements

The tensioning elements present on the König K-Summit snow chains offer superior elastic properties and they provide a real a fine-tuning of the tensioning level. Each tensioning element is based on a double spring system which gets compressed under load, allowing the chains cross-section tensioning and micro-adaptation to the specific tyre aspects (size, tread, wear level).

U-Adapt lug nut clamping system

The König U-Adapt is the universal adapter compatible with hexagonal headed bolts and nut from 17mm up to 22mm, thanks to the U-Adapt the user is no more requested to know the size of the wheel bolt/nut and to use specific adapters.
