The König A-Tractor is the classic agricolture snow chain which is very popular at mountain farmers in the alpine range.
The product design is based on the typical Doppelspur (double-track) cross-section largely covered by ice-breakers to provide additional touch points and digging power.
Being the product destined to agricoltural machinery, not beloning to M2, N2 or O2 classes, the König A-Tractor is not part of the application field of the Ö-Norm V5119.
The product is built following the traditional Professional snow chains construction, meaning that the chain is 100% manufactured in Steel, lacking of any plastic component, cable arch or anything else. Just superior quality steel and the most advanced treatments, plain and simple.
1 of 5The A-Tractor lacks the typical central closing hook. At the same time the ending tread chain segments, after passing through the ending rings, are then fixed to the side chains through connecting shackles (one on the external side and one on the internal side).
2 of 5Bent side hooks represent the most practical solution to connect hardened cross-section together with untreated side chains. Side hooks are bent with specific geometries starting from steel wire and they get pressed into position connecting the shoulder chain portion with the side chains.
4 of 5The tightening chain gets secured to the side chain through an elastic end composed by an heavy duty spring and a carabiner for the quickest mounting/demounting process or by a heavy duty shackle on the heaviest snow chains.

1 of 3The horizontal links at the center of the cross-section present “over-links” with an higher thickness than the vertical links.
Used in heavier duty conditions compared to the simple link configuration, the ice-breaker configuration provides an increased number of touch-points between snow chain and ground, improving vehicle handling side handling and more aggressive geometries againts the ground.
2 of 3The A-Tractor tread design is based on a double track enriched with horizontal ladders, avoiding that significant tyre tread parts remain uncovered.
3 of 3The inner hook is the connection point of the inner side of the chain.

3 of 3The König A-Tractor is the very classical agricolture snow chain providing traction to safely move on snowy, icy and slippery surfaces
Compared to a Supertractor, the König A-Tractor is based on the DS (double track) design enriched with a large number of ice-breakers covering the central tyre tread
Destined to the agricoltural tractors, the König A-Tractor is available with different wire diameters (7.00, 8.00 and 10.00mm)
