The König K-Summit MAX is the external chain dedicated electrified vehicles and takes into account the increased demand of resistance that such vehicle require.
It comes to the market with a complete set of proprietary unique features positioning the product on the highest market end. It is no coincidence that the K-Summit MAX has been selected by BEV manufacturers as solution for their zero-clearance applications.
The König K-Summit snow chain is a supplementary grip device certified according to Ö-Norm V5117 and EN 16662-1 thus fulfilling any Winter Equipment legal requirement.
The König K-Summit MAX design is based on a central body the 4 arms are linked to. The central body features an integrated ratchet with a 9x factor, meaning that it make the tensioning operations completely effortless.
1 of 3The König U-Adapt is the universal adapter compatible with hexagonal headed bolts and nut from 17mm up to 22mm.
2 of 3The K-Summit MAX arms are manufactured in harmonic steel and they are designed with specific geometries prodiving a leaf-spring effect.
They get flat under load and, once the load is tranferred, they return to the original shape. This specific aspect allows the chain to automously slip onto the tyre tread while driving without requiring additional vehicle stops for any retensitioning or fixing.
3 of 3The König K-Summit MAX plates act as joint between the arms and the chain cross-sections.
Compared to the standard K-Summit and K-Summit XL plastic plates, the MAX plastic plates are thicker, larger and with a more open cross-section connection, to resist to higher stresses and better perform when fitted on larger section tyres.
The plastic plates are manufactured in PU and each of them features 8 hard metal studs to provide more grip when the plate touches the ground.
1 of 6The K-Summit MAX cross-sections lay on the external side of the tyre without interfering on the internal side with the typical inner wheelhouse components such as suspension strut, MacPherson spring perch, multilink ball joints, swaybar links and brakelines.
2 of 6The König K-Summit MAX cross-sections include thicker welded traction bars to provide additional digging properties and a higher mechanical resistance.
3 of 6The König K-Summit MAX cross-sections are based on a 12mm chain links representing a thicker option compared to the König K-Summit and K-Summit XL.
4 of 6The tensioning elements present on the König K-Summit MAX snow chains offer superior elastic properties and provide a real a fine-tuning of the tensioning level.
The tensioning elements are based on a double spring system which gets compressed under load, allowing the chains cross-section tensioning and micro-adaptation to the specific tyre aspects (size, tread, wear level).
5 of 6As per the tensioning elements, the adjusting elements are based on a double spring system getting compressed under load.
The adjusting elements (4 on each K-Summit MAX) are meant to be removed to reach a larger chain rolling circumference and subsequently fit larger tyres.
6 of 6When the K-Summit MAX is fitted, the inner side of the wheel is completely free from any snow chain part or component.
1 of 1It's the only solution for electrified and high performance cars with zero clearance requirements
Designed and engineered taking into account all the specific requirements of EVs, known for carrying a considerable torque already at low RPM and an increased mass due to battery packs
The most all inclusive package: the product comes with all the components necessary for the chain adjustment and installation, including a full set of proprietary premium tools.
The product has a wider compatibility with different tyre sizes compared to traditional snow chains and it can be shared more easily on different vehicles of the same category.
Compatible with vehicles with 0mm clearance requirements (EN16662-1:2020 Class 0/16mm)
