You can forget about inner and outer connections with links and hooks. The chain comes already assembled from the factory.You just need to stretch it wide open and fit it in the most natural way: from the upper part of the tyre down to the lower, like a beanie on your head. Thanks to the automatic tensioning system, the chain gets tightened and centered autonomously while driving with a super-precise fit.
The König Reflex Cross snow chain is a supplementary grip device certified according to Ö-Norm V5117 and EN 16662-1 thus fulfilling any Winter Equipment legal requirement.
The König Reflex is based on a double rigid arch design, one stays on the inner side of the wheel, the other on the outer side of the wheel. The outer rigid arch is composed by two inner cavities: in the first larger one there’s a rigid arch with shape of memory properties while the second thinner cavity is deputated to the sliding of the micro-cable to provide tensioning.
1 of 6The Reflex Box is a micro-adjusted automatic tensioning powerhouse, integrated in the Reflex design from scratch.
In terms of functioning, the Reflex Box tensioning mechanism gets activated through a simple click on the red trigger activating the inner spring recalling the red micro-cable onto the inner drum.
Thanks to the double rigid arch, the micro-cable is free to slide through the outer arch, by-pass and inner arch. Thanks to this unique communicating system, the Reflex Box can tension the entire snow chain in all its parts.
2 of 6As it’s understandable, a snow chain needs to be properly balanced to avoid resonance in dynamic conditions. Considering the weight of the Reflex Box, the counterweight ensures the chain remains properly balanced in dynamic conditions.
3 of 6The by-pass is a composite band positioned over the tyre tread allowing the communication from the outer side of the wheel to the inner side and viceversa.
Thanks to the by-pass system, the micro-cable slides into the arches cavity and applies tension to the inner side of the chain when the Reflex Box trigger is engaged.
4 of 6The Micro-Cable is a super-thin (2mm) yet tenacious carbon steel wire covered with a low-friction coating to allow a proper sliding. responsible of the chain tensioning.
Thanks to the special construction and treatment, the micro-cable slides through the arches and by-pass to allow the tensioning system functioning.

Thanks to the triple traction bar design, the König Reflex Cross incorporates additional traction elements and more aggressive geometry making the difference in the most demanding driving situations.

2 of 2The inner rigid arch allows the fitting of the internal part of the chain like a breeze. In fact, the memory shape steel arch included in one of the cavities, the system allows stretch under load while returning to the original shape just after.
Thanks to this mechanical property, the chain can easily be mounted on the wheel.
As per the outer arch, the inner arch allows the internal sliding of the micro-cable proving a complete tensioning of the inner side of the chain.
1 of 3To respect the maximum thickness of 7mm, the inner by pass connection with the inner arch features a flat design.
