Common product design features
Traditional, heavy duty construction
The product is built following the traditional Professional snow chains construction, meaning that the chain is 100% manufactured in Steel, lacking of any plastic component, cable arch or anything else. Just superior quality steel and the most advanced treatments, plain and simple.

The tensioning of the chain is given by the coupling of the tensioning lever and the tightening chain. Once reached the correct tensioning, the lever gets secured with a dedicated anti-return ring or shackle

More basic products are coming with bent side hooks connections while the more premium products comes with welded side rings.

The tightening chain gets secured to the side chain through an elastic end composed by an heavy duty spring and a carabiner for the quickest mounting/demounting process

Two types of link configuration
Offroad chains can be equipped with simple link configuration (Rallye range) or ice-breaker configuration (Polar range)

Professional, heavy duty construction
The traditional fitting system with inner side chain is the most classical way to fit a professional snow chain. The super sturdy design doesn’t include anything else than steel and for this reason it’s the most reliable costruction available.
Superior material quality and process excellence
Considering that Steel represents the vast majority of the raw materials used in Professional snow chains, König has developed through the years one of the latest generation special alloy steel with a strictly defined chemical composition, selected amongst hundreds of options for its superior mechanical properties, perfect processability and fitment into bending, welding and surface treatment processes.
The K-Premium Steel is synonym of reliability, resistance and durability.
D-Shaped links in 4.50mm and 5.50mm wire
The brand uses D-shaped links for off-road applications, providing the ideal balance between strong traction and link mobility. Their geometry allows the links to move freely over uneven and challenging terrain, reducing the risk of the chain getting stuck.
According to the different tyre sizes, the snow chain gets manufactured with different wire diameters which are directly proportional to the tyre size.
Fully certified and legally valid
The snow chain is certified according to the latest regulatory standards Ö-Norm V5117, EN16662-1:2020 and additionally Ö-Norm V5119 thus complying to any snow chain legal requirement worldwide both for light (<3.5t) and heavier vehicles (>3.5t). Both the product and the packaging are showing the necessary marking required by the current legislation.
